Perfect skin

Do you know that even at night, we should use the skin product to maintain and improve our skin? Yes, we do and it is actually one of the very important parts in our daily skin maintenance.

Do you know that between 10.00pm to 4.00am, it is the time where the most of the water lost from our skin. Yes, it is during the time when we are sleeping! The water lost at night is 4x more than it lost during the day. Quite surprising, isn't it?

Therefore it is really important to do something to keep our skin moisture and to 'lock' the water for the whole night.

Had purchased this fantastic product from Biotherm last year - Aquasource Nuit. The first treatment in the Aquasource range to combine the equivalent of 5,000 liters of Thermal Plankton Cellular Water with 35 million perfecting Aquakeep™ microshperes to provide 24h hydration. The refreshing frosted texture works like a re-surfacing glaze to reduce skin irregularities and dull complexion.

This product suit all type of skin and it comes in in a gel texture. A light blue gel which is gentle and soft.
I give this product a rating of 4 out of 5. 1 point is deducted becauseI feel a bit greasy / oily after applying. However, as it absorbs so quickly, the feeling of greasy will disappear after it melts into the skin. Still, I don't like the feeling of greasy when you had just applied. Like other Biotherm products, it has a light fragrance and I really like the smell.

I am feeling like using a mask for the whole night. In the next morning, I notice my skin becomes very supple and moisture.  The most important thing is using a make up base / foundation is no longer a night mare for me and make up because easier.

I would highly recommend this product if you have a thirsty skin. This product is a bit pricey. However, one pump is enough to cover up the whole face and you should be able to use it for few months. 




 

SKII Facial Treatment Essence


SKII Facial Treatment Essence launched in Japan in 1980's also described as 'miracle water' is a product that contains more than 90% pitera*. It helps to maintain skin's natural renewal cycle to its optimum condition to allow skin nourishment. It also helps to balance skin's PH and sebum secretion.

* What is pitera? Scientist in Japan noticed a very soft and youthful hands of woman working in a Japanese sake brewery. After years of research, they found this liquid which they then called it as pitera. It is not a yeast extract but a metabolic solution generated in the fermentation process of a unique strain of yeast. It is proved in laboratory test to increase the metabolism of skin cells which means restore skin's renewal cycle.

You won't be able to see 'wow' effect after applying but it treats your skin and improve it's skintone / texture. 

I had used this SKII Facial Treatment Essence two years ago and it doesn't do too much on my skin. It caused break out especially in my chin area. Therefore I only applied it around my cheek.

I have combination skin (which got oily at the T-zone area in the afternoon). However my face overall condition is fine. To me, this product isn't very suitable for those who has good skin. And I personally think that this product is not suitable for young people (less than 25 years old) due to its high contain of pitera.

Having said that, this product does not contain any fragrance and therefore it will be good for those who has very sensitive skin. It doesn't contain alcohol as well and therefore prevent allergic reaction. This product is non sticky at all so it is actually very comfy when you applied it to your face and around the neck. Finally, it is very good to absorb.

Regarding the smell, I personally am fine with it. However, there are a lot on the internet mentioned that it has a very unpleasant smell. It really depends on each individual.

If this product suits you, you will see the result within a month. However, if you don't see any results after a month, my advice is not continue to waste your money on this very expensive product because it doesn't work on you!

I will suggest that for every product, always go for the smallest version until you are satisfied with the product.



How to use it : You should apply it day and night. I prefer to put it on my palm and then gently pad it on your face and neck area rather than using the cotton pad. This way you can make sure every single drop is absorbed into the skin. I did this because I had a small version of the it (30ml) and I don't want to waste any of it as it is really a very expensive product.

I have also did a lot of googling about other user's review. Basically it is about 60% (base on my searched website) of people saying it is a good product with the remaining with either no effect or didn't like it as it causes break out.

I personally won't repurchase it due to its price and I couldn't notice any fantastic work it did on my face. My sister on the other hand had been continuously using this product as it works great on her.
